A little update:
Since announcing my new title, a few of my friends have developed their own.
Alec Ellingson is now "Mr. Alec Ellingson, WTF" and Mark Frese is now "Mark Frese, BbQ."
Together, we combine to create OMGWTFBBQ, the most feared of all the robots!!!
Alec: Form feet and legs! Mark: Form arms and body! And I'll form THE HEAD!
(And we'll each take turns being the ass.)

ME!!! Mister "10 years of web development experience," Mister "I've been writing a book on the internet for three years now"... How could I let my domain names expire???
Well, I was counting on the Godaddy Auto-Renew feature to kick in, okay? I didn't realize that the old credit card had expired!!! Yes, I feel like a retard, but hey - it's fixed now, so... You know... We can all put this behind us, right?
RIGHT?
...Shut up.
Anyway, just so everyone knows: NO, I'm not packing up like a gypsy carnival and running away with the money from the book preorders. It was just a minor oversight. Your book will arrive to your snail mail inbox in the appropriate timeframe.
I am TERRIBLY sorry for any panic I may have caused some people. Please forgive me.

Step 1: Create Book Layout Template for Chapters and Stories
Step 2: Include Forward
Step 3: Write End of Book stuff (thanks, appendix, etc.)
Step 4: Write Beginning of Book stuff (copyright, legal info, title page, etc)
Step 5: Write Introduction & Table of Contents
Step 6: Put it all together, Create Edit File, Send to Test Readers
Step 7: Receive Edits, Update Manuscript, Include Bonus Stories
Step 8: Finalize Book - final sweep
Step 9: Print & Ship

Note that Steps 6 and 7 have changed. There will be no "test print" copies for editing, because the print on demand service I intended to use for that sucks. I was going to use LuLu.com to do a few quick test prints for editing, but they now have a 5 - 8 day turnaround before they even ship printed books, and that won't work (obviously). So, I've created a commentable / note supported file and sent it to the test readers.
We'll see how it works out.

I started Friday about 8 PM. I stopped about 5 AM this morning (Monday). I am tired.
Very, very tired.
But hey, it's done. Done done done. All I gotta do is print out my test copy, do a rough edit, and then ship it off to get the "White Cover" editions made for the VERY VERY VERY kind people who stepped up in the absence of my editor to cover my ass on the editing.
Things are coming along. This is scary and exciting.
