4.11.2008:
Wanna see my yardwork? I bet you do!
6:04 PMSo, I've spent the past two days getting sunburned and moving - literally - a ton of rocks around my yard... But the results are pretty worth it (I think so, anyway):

That's 72 40lb bags of "pond pebbles", 55 red interlocking bricks, 244 sq. ft. of "weedblock" and some heavy-duty de-weeding and de-rooting you see there. I will look for a "before" pic so you can see the WRETCHED "landscape tembers" and old ass mulch that I've lived with for too many years...
Anyway, I'm proud.

Nice! How'd you like to come out and do my landscaping now?
It looks very nice. You should be proud!
Looks nice. I know exactly what a backbreaking job working with rocks can be.
Our first attempt with landscaping around our rosebushes out front consisted of landscape timbers and umpteen bags of rocks. After finding that the rocks were a pain in the ass for weeding and that they somehow liked to find their way into the lawn (thereby dinging the lawnmower blade), we replaced that setup a couple of years ago with Trex type boards and cocoa mulch (the shells from cocoa beans...smells like chocolate heaven.)
We repurposed the rocks behind the garage where I annually spray the area with one of those "kills EVERYTHING for a season" spray so that I don't have to deal with the weeding.
