The 15-year tattoo, part 2
10:07 PMFinished the first major piece, and got one of the 3 features added.
(PLEASE forgive the wifebeater tank top there, that's what he asked me to wear)

Next phase is next week, where I get the other 2 features added, along with the background work. It SHOULD be done next week. We'll see how far we get.

Akira = insta-win
Wait, and is that supposed to be the glass that Akira accidentally cuts himself with in the hospital? That was trippy man...
You're thinking of Tetsuo :)
Also, this is more based on the comics than the anime, and this pattern (in the glass) appears in multiple places - in the cathedral at Lady Myoko's temple, in the carving in Akira's throne (if you've never read the comic... Yes, Akira is a real kid, not just organs saved in glass jars), and other places. It's a motif in the story that repeats itself... Fracturing, splintering, all from a single source (hence the "spiral outward" or spiderweb shape of the splintering).
There's more coming, and I'll explain it as the pics go up :)
Completely OT, but have you seen this yet? http://techland.blogs.fortune.cnn.com/2008/05/27/dell-deceived-customers-says-ny-judge/?section=money_topstories
