11.17.2008:
Lassiez-faire Capitalism = Terrorism?
1:53 PMWell, it turns out, in terms of the financial damage to the nation, Lazziez-faire Capitalism is actually more damaging than the 9/11 terror attacks.
Just thought that was interesting.
I love capitalism. I couldn't run my business of drawing pretty pictures and writing books without it. But there have to be rules, and those rules need to be enforced. Period. All good things become bad things when bad people abuse them, and I don't care how many American flag lapel pins someone has tacked to themselves, bad people are running our economy right now - both from the investing side and from the lawmaking side.

On the other hand, you're also making the assumption that the banking crisis was caused by lassiez-faire capitalism. I would personally disagree - the first part *may* have been, but I think it's likely that the "bailout" just made the situation far worse, and that was good ol' socialist meddling at its finest.
